Procrastination is an art....

It is an art that I claim to be an expert at... first of all I'm nearing 25 years old, I am still a student (grad school), and I have an endless supply of favorites in my internet explorer toolbar... All of these things lead to a great deal of procrastination. So I give you the top ten ways to procrastinate....

1. YouTube - Seriously!!!! I think that I have rewatched every Leyton scene there ever was on One Tree Hill, seen every fan man music video, watched and rewatched every Mark Schwahn interview in the history of the world, and watched the treadmill dance video on YouTube like fifty different times. If you haven't seen this... you must.....

2. Facebook - Wow.... all those people from Junior High and High School that you never wanted to see again can suddenly contact you again!! And... you can stalk the people that you secretly wanted to talk to in the mean time...

3. G-mail Chat - This new feature is CRAZY!!! I was sitting at school the other day and talked to my SBFF Kaitlin and kind of loved it!! We also have G-mail based e-mail in my district, so as teachers we chat with each other all the time school to school or to the classroom down the hall from ouw.

4. Twitter - A new friend of mine. I'm getting better at it, and I kind of like the randomness that people share.

5. The glory that is Blogging - you don't necessarily have to write a blog to use this as a procrastination tool, but instead can read the random thoughts of people half a country away or across an ocean. As weird as it is... you can become friends with some pretty cool people.

6. Mob Wars - ANYONE WHO HAS NOT FOUND THIS IS CRAZY!!!! On Facebook or MySpace there are different kind of Mob Wars or Mafia Wars... join a mob... get some property... it is mindless... but kind of addicting and awesome.

7. iPods - I love playing the shuffle game where I just hit shuffle and let it go, trying to see if I can remember the song and artist of each song on my iPod. P.D. knows that I am kind of addicted to tv show music... especially OTH, so I have an INSANE One Tree Hill playlist that would make anyone think I'm crazy.

8. Cleaning - yes, while this may be something that you are trying to procrastinate for, it can also be a good procrastination tool. I often use it when I don't want to write lesson plans for the week, opting to clean my classroom or go through the mess that is my desk.

9. TV - need I expand on this marvel??

10. Cravings/Shopaholicness - why sit and grade papers or write an essay when you just discovered that you need a new toothbrush, or that you are craving a scoop of vanilla custard? Who cares if it will take you an hour to pick out the toothbrush you want or that the custard store that has the really good raspberry sundaes is like a half hour away and you have to pick up your best friend to go with you because you can't go along...

Yes, the beauty of procrastination.... Does anyone else do anything really weird to procrastinate??? Let me know... I'm always in need of more ideas!!

Anyways, seeing as I was using number 5 to get out of cleaning before my stepsister came to visit, I should get back to it! : )
